For my thrifting addiction. I can't seem to stop myself. This hobby of mine is getting out of control. I see beautiful old pieces of furniture with great lines, and solid construction and I. MUST. HAVE. IT!! I know I don't have a place in my house to put most of it, but I want to take it home with me anyway. I'm convinced I can strip off the ugly, and give each piece new life. I was so excited this weekend to find this little gem at Faith Farm... Yep, it's really a Stiffel! Some Stiffel lamps go for hundreds of dollars on eBay. As of today, someone has a pair of these listed on eBay for $250. Guess how much I paid for it? Yep!! 2 BUCKS!!! Insane! Obviously, they didn't check their labels... The other day I posted about painting the Thomasville desk I purchased for $149 at Faith Farm. Desk before I loved the way it looks now. It makes me happy just to look at it! This week has been busy around here. I painted some chairs... Took a few pictures... And got the garage cleaned out and organized. Sorry, no picture of that, it's just too humiliating to share. Thrifty Thursday

So, I did it! I painted the living room chairs! Here's a picture of them before. Pay no mind to the mess behind it! And here they are now! Love the way the look, but they feel scratchy! Ugh! I had sanded them down and they felt much better, but then they also looked like they were dusty/old. My husband didn't like that look at all, so after the final coat, I didn't re-sand. My son is having a few friends over tonight for a bonfire, so I decided to make brownies for them. I saw the cutest idea on Pinterest, and thought I would try it out. Aren't these just the cutest?! I thought, how easy would this be? So, I mixed up the brownie batter, sprayed the pan and the cookie cutters and carefully poured the batter into them. Placed them in the oven, and waited. The other day, while trying to get the Christmas tree out of the attic, I came to the realization that I need to stop buying new projects until I get done with, or rid of, the old ones.
